Route 5, March 1975 Close to Ang Snul, 25 kilometers north of Phnom Penh. A road through no man’s land during a lull in the fighting. In this desolate area, only a handful of soldiers venture within sight of the Khmer Rouge positions. It’s part of a dangerous game played by those who believe that they are protected by amulets and Sanskrit tattoos on their bodies.
